The list keeps growing...

It's Friday morning, my munchkin's at school, and I am rocking out this morning.  I need good music to get my Mommy chores done...otherwise I lose focus.  I'd much rather be sewing, but the amount of dust I noticed last night on my coffee table tells me that I've been a bit neglectful of the house lately, so my house is filled with the sounds of Adele and Gavin DeGraw this morning.  Somehow, while singing along to my favorite music, I can bust out some serious cleaning, so that's what I am up to this Friday morning...so I can sew all weekend long!

Listmaking on a Friday morning

What about you?  Any big sewing plans this weekend?  TGIF!  :)

  2. I have 7 blocks left to finish on the quilt I am making for my little girl's toddler bed. I WILL FINISH THIS WEEKEND, or die trying!! (this quilt is entirely a stalling tecnique, because I really want to leave her in her crib until she's 18...)

  3. TGIF indeed! Adele does indeed rock. I do have big sewing plans this weekend - I have Monday off, too! I hope to make a set of angel potholders because of some flakery in our guild swap (frowny face), my bee block for Lynne and probably some other stuff. Hooray for sewing!

  5. Oh man, I had to do that yesterday. Lots of errands and laundry and picking up after myself. I also had to take down some lingering Christmas decorations that were waiting for my injured self to improve so I could put them away. I miss my sewing machine, but I also have to get out in the yard today to pull some weeds. At least the weather's nice!

  6. I am actually moving my sewing room. It currently is really tiny and very unorganized. We don't really use our guest room very much, so we are switchig them around this weekend!

    I am so excited.

  7. Today I am doing the same thing. I am cleaning my house and doing laundry. That way tomorrow I can start on my friend's quilt I am surprising her with.

  8. It's a catch 22 , the more you sew the more dust you create. You can't win the dust battle. But I like your idea of rocking out to Adele while you dust. I can just picture you with your feather duster and an apron...NOT! Have a great weekend.

  13. Good girl, I always sew better in a clean house- so I typically try to spend my Fridays cleaning so by Friday night I am sewing. Then you are guilt free and and your sewing will be even better! Rock on!

  14. Way to go! I dealt with the dust last weekend but I'm pretty sure I need to clean a bathroom or two. This weekend, I'm going to be Swooning - block #2 is on the agenda tonight.

  17. Oh I have plans almost all weekend to sew! I worked today, came home via the supermarket with the 2nd half of the month's shopping, then cut up all my charms for a swap to get that out of the way, and finished a pattern review for someone (the write up bit, ie the less exciting part ;o) ) I just have to meet the guy coming to look at the hole in our roof tomorrow morning, and then the time is mine, all mine! Have fun with your weekend :o)
