Sharing my first quilt today
I'm sharing the story behind my first quilt today over on my good friend AnneMarie's blog, Gen X Quilters. For those of you who've followed this blog a long time, you might just recognize this quilt as my previous Blogger and Flickr avatar! It was a lot of fun to dig up photos from early on in my quilting life, and marvel over how bad some of them were, and to laugh and remember the mistakes I made early on in quilting. It really makes me see how far I've come as a quilter! Pop on over to Gen X Quilters to read all the gory details. I hope you had a wonderful Tuesday today :)
I think it's really cute!
ReplyDeleteThat was my first quilt, too! And in very similar colors :) it's the first place I used my beloved Park Slope fabrics. I wonder how many made their first quilts with Elizabeth's pattern?
ReplyDeleteGreat story over there! That's something I love about new quilters, they think they can do anything (and usually try). They aren't scared off by things or intimidated, they just jump right in even if they don't do it quite right.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fabulous quilt. Love the colours/fabrics.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great, fun post. Thanks for sharing and thanks, Anne Marie, for hosting First on First.
