WiP Wednesday: The one with a new pattern

It's Wednesday again...already...where are the weeks going???? Thanksgiving is quickly creeping up on me, and I know Christmas is right on its heels. How is it that the last few months of the year always go by so much faster than those before them? Let's see what's going on this week in my sewing room...

Finished:
Sea of Stars pattern - available here, with quilt-along kicking off November 19th

Sea of Stars - detail 3

Still going:
Pillow Talk Swap - I'm hoping to wrap up my pillow today. I worked on the quilting over the weekend, using a bunch of matching threads and lots of micro stitching, but I still to need to add a back. Here's a sneak peek...

4x5 blocks - I've got two blocks done now, just four more to go and I'll be able to get these in the mail to my bee-mates!

4x5 block for me

EPP project - I've been plugging away at those little star flowers, and they're finally starting to look like something. I haven't decided if this is going to turn into a pillow or a mini or what, but it's looking really cute so far!

New this week:
{Sew} Beautiful bee block for Lee - Lee sent some beautiful Art Gallery solids this month, and is making a quilt inspired by Rita's gorgeous Chicopee giant vintage star quilt.

And in other news this week, my Light in the Dark mariner's compass mini is nominated, along with many other gorgeous quilts at Bloggers Quilt Festival. There is some serious inspiration over there, why don't you go and see??

I'm really trying to get my pillow cover and bee blocks wrapped up this week so I can get them in the mail on time, so hopefully I'll have a few small finishes to share next week. That is, if I don't get too distracted shopping - Simply Color by V & Co has just arrived at I Don't Do Dishes, and Caitlin's offering free US shipping on any Simply Color purchase, and when you purchase 8 yds, you get one free (refunded after the fact). I am seriously tempted by this offer, I just love Simply Color!

Have a great day, and pop on over to Freshly Pieced to spy on what lots of other wonderfully inspiring bloggers are working on.
