Fear not, I've got a few sewing projects going, including a new tutorial for the upcoming Christmas in July festivities I'm hosting. Here's a sneakity peek...
I've also been quilting and binding a few things that I hope I'll be able to share in the fall...
I've also been working on getting the Tampa Modern Quilt Guild established and rolling. We had our first meeting a few weekends ago and I'm working on our first Sew Day to happen later this month. If you've got family or friends in the Tampa Bay area who are interested in modern quilting, please do tell them about the guild! It's so exciting to meet people in my area who love fabric and quilting as much as I do.
And my Flickr friend Caitlin, who's opened a new fabric shop called I Don't Do Dishes (which is a sentiment that often rings true at my house!), just sent me a sweet note to tell me that she's got a few more Michael Miller Cotton Couture color cards in stock (with more on the way!) after she sold out the last time I mentioned them. I have to say, the hand of these Cotton Couture solids is just positively amazing. You've just got to feel them for yourself!
Now, in the spirit of sharing, want to read about a few of my favorite things? Check out a mini-interview with me at the Sewing Summit blog today! Have a wonderful Friday :)
Good for you on getting a guild chapter going. It's so neat to see them popping up all over the country!
ReplyDeleteWow that first photo gets me in the spirit for some Christmas sewing! gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteKati's getting a really cool star! :D
ReplyDeleteLOL! No blog guilt. Look at all the pretty things you've been sewing :-) I hope your little one feels better soon! I love that Star block!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel guilty. Of course, then I was wondering if you had disappeared. LOL Love the blocks you are making!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join you at the next Tampa Guild meeting, but I have to work that day. :( I will keep up with the blog & hopefully make the next one!
ReplyDeleteHi Elisabeth! It seems to be that most of us are really busy this summer; I can't believe either that it's already July. Your sewing is beautiful as always and I'm already looking forward the autumn and more time to see and share our works! Happy summer! x Teje
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about that star!!
ReplyDeleteThe star looks awesome! That colour combo is well suited!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting looks interesting, I'll be watching out for the reveal =D
Love Kati's star! I need to come up a plan for my block for her. Sorry your boy is sick. It's extra wrong to be sick in the summer :(
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on starting a new guild. A few of us are getting one started in Charleston, SC. Since we announced ours, two more are getting started in SC- Beaufort and Greenville. If you have any advice to share, we would love it.
ReplyDeleteSo not a lot on then... ;o)
