WiP Wednesday: The short and sweet one

It's been a busy couple of days, and I don't think things are going to ease up any time soon, so let's get right to it!  Here's my short and snappy WiP update...

Moving right along
My Quiltmaker 100 Blocks mini (and the giveaway is still open, click here to enter!) - It's looking super cute so far, so I'm wondering if maybe I love this enough to turn it into a lap size quilt.  I really love the colors, but it's so uber-girlie...I think I'd have to sell this quilt if I make it bigger, because it sure doesn't fit with my house decor (what little there is of it!), so I'm still pondering what I want to do here.

My Precious QAL Pillow - I finished up my blocks for this little pillow, need to stitch them all together and find a fun print to use as a border to tie them all together.  I'm thinking something gray, but I'm not sure yet.

NY Beauty Mini Swap - Almost done!  I got as far as basting this little quilt this weekend...and promptly felt stumped as to how to quilt it.  I'm hoping inspiration will strike soon!

My next pattern - Chugging right along, thanks to the help of some wonderful pattern testers.  :)  I'm hoping to finish this one up in another week or two.

What are you working on this week?  Hop on over to Lee's to link up your projects and to check out what everyone else is working on!  I hope you're having a great week so far!

  1. I think I commented on this last week too but I just really love your pillow for the my precious QAL. I like the pattern and those are some awesome fabrics!

  2. I'd love to win! I love all the blocks everyone is shwoing on their blogs now! My favourite book of all time wil be the first in the Jamie & Claire series by Diana Gabaldon. It's called cross-stitch(UK) or voyager(US) I think. It's such a great read, I've read the whole series at least five times. Right now I'm rereading Karin Slaughter in the right sequence, lots of supspense there.

  3. Love your precious QAL pillow and everything else in this post for that matter ;-)

  4. Wow, that NY mini is incredible!!!

  5. Love your precious pillow!
And I love the uber-girlie quilt - it would fit in beautifully at my house - my girls would love it! I'll have to keep this block in mind for the next quilt they request!

  6. I love your "Going Nowhere Fast" category. Sounds very familiar to me!

I'm still loving your 100 Blocks (not so?) mini. It is girlie but also COOL...something my niece would adore.

  7. Such lovely projects. That NY beauty is definitely a BEAUTY.

  8. Eeek! Love it all Elizabeth! Great block, that would make such a sweet little girls quilt! Love all those prints in your precious pillow, spray wash coupon fabric?? adorable!!

  9. I do love your 100 blocks mini! So pretty!

  10. That was a pretty productive week! Love the way the NYB is looking

  11. Oh wow, I totally love your 100 mini- those colors are so fab! I think it would make an awesome totally modern baby quilt for a little girl- I bet it would sell super fast too- not too many offered in such poppy schemes- I say go for it!

  12. Great projects there. I'll be waiting in the wings to see how you finish them =D

  13. You always do such great work, Elizabeth! I love that NYB mini!

  14. Love the girlie quilt - feminine yet badass.

The NYB quilting - unsolicited advice from me is to enhance the design like I did with my pickle dish mini. Echo the curves, emphasize the points. And have fun! :)

  15. oh - esp. love your NY beauty block!

  16. I love your 100 Blocks mini, but that NY Beauty...oh my goodness! Wow! I really love it.

  17. All so lovely. Your 100 blocks mini is simply gorgeous. Love the combination of colours.
Both the Precious Pillow and the NYB mini are fabulous too. I always love seeing what you are working on.

  18. Wow, for short and sweet, you sure have a lot going on! Don't I say that every week?

Thank you for leaving a comment for me! I appreciate each and every one of them and try to respond when time allows. Your comments totally brighten my day :)

Welcome! I'm Elizabeth, mom to a mood teen boy and a chatty six-year-old girl and I sew for my sanity. Let's get to quilting, shall we?
