Welcome to my pit stop on the inspiration tour for Jennifer's latest sewing contest, the Summer Sewing contest. Jennifer has lined up some awesome prizes, to be given away in four different categories: quilts, home decor, clothing, and bags & accessories.
Summer sewing means a lot of things to me, but more than anything, summer sewing to me is about fun. Sewing things you want to sew, using fabrics you love, and in that spirit, I'm super happy to share my newest quilt finish and pattern, Bella Patchwork. It features some gorgeous new prints from Lotta Jansdotter's upcoming Bella collection for Windham Fabrics, paired with lots of fun supporting guest star fabrics from my stash.
I love the way the simple patchwork creates some neat echo effects throughout the quilt. I also love the pops of lemon-lime throughout the quilt, and in Lotta's new line. I think that lemon-lime is going to be a very hot color for summer.
The PDF pattern for Bella Patchwork is available on Craftsy as well as in my Pattern Shop. This pattern is charm pack friendly and would also work great with fussy-cut charms. The PDF includes full-color illustrations to assist you in your quiltmaking and provides four different size options for you to choose from, ranging from a baby size quilt to a queen size quilt. My quilt is the lap size, 62 1/2" x 75", which is perfect for a summer picnic.
Katie from Katie's Korner
Michelle from CityHouse Studio
Susan from Patchwork and Play
