So this is what 31 feels like...

I'm officially 31 years old today.  I have to say, 31 feels no different than 30.  Not that I really expected it to, but every couple of years or so, I sort expect to have that magical feeling you feel when you're a kid and it's your birthday and you actually "feel" different.

I don't have any real big plans today, though I am thinking of maybe going to a local quilt store and treating myself to a few new fat quarters.  My husband already treated me to my big birthday present, a shiny new laptop.  My old one was getting awfully old and decrepit, so my new laptop is taking some getting used to.  It's so fast!  But, since I love gadgets, I'm enjoying getting to know my new machine, especially while my most favorite machine (my sewing machine!) is getting a thorough cleaning at the shop.

    Happy Birthday! I turned 31 back in October and I have to admit I had a bit of a freak out this year. I really expected it when I turned 30 but no it was fine life as normal. But 31 I don't know something clicked and I had a melt down about all the things I haven't done yet and all the things I've had to resolve myself to knowing I will probably never get to do.     Happy birthday - I hope it was a lovely day. 31 is nothing. It's just 29 for the third time. Me, I get to be 35 in March. Kinda excited for that one.

    Well, Happy Birthday!     Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!! I still wonder what it feels like to be a real grown up. I'm 37 and I always thought that somehow I'd feel all grown up when I was as old as my mom was when I was a kid. You know, all responsible and with it and stuff.
