She's starting to be awake more (often not at "appropriate" hours of the day, ha, but she's starting to get the hang of this whole daytime/nighttime thing, I think), and is very determined to hold up her head on her own. For someone so little, she's definitely full of personality already. She's so tiny, I still find myself incredulous at the wonder of her. She looks a lot like my son did at this age, so I think they'll definitely resemble one another as time goes on.
Oh, the cuteness. If only there was smell-o-vision on computers, I can't get enough of that newborn smell. Hope you're all having a great day today and have a wonderful week. Thanks for all of the baby welcoming wishes you've sent over these last few weeks, I greatly appreciate them all! :)

ReplyDeleteYour daughter is exactly 1 week older than my son!!! Congrats. I just wanted to offer a tip- hopefully this doesn't come across as obnoxious (I'm sleep deprived too ;) I read somewhere before my first baby that exposing newborns to natural light can help them get on the day/night path more quickly. I try to keep all the curtains open during the day and let him nap downstairs where all the daytime action is. Then after the first evening feeding it's back upstairs to the crib with minimal light. Maybe it will work for you too!!! Good luck!

She's beautiful! I have a granddaughter that just turned one last week and I still remember her this small. They really do grow fast so enjoy every minute at this time, and then enjoy every minute as she grows. But you already know that, right? :)
