I also created a new Flickr group for people to post photos of things they've made from my tutes or quilt-alongs or inspired by my work. I'd love to see what you've sewn up, you can pop over to the group right here.
On the plus side, getting my social on like this is good practice for making conversation at Sewing Summit. On the down side, I can get lost on Twitter for an hour and not realize that sixty minutes have passed! Oh well, it's fun getting to know people more there :) Only two weeks until meeting so many of them in person!
I've got a good bit of stitching planned for the day, after a trip to our local science museum with the munchkin. Have an awesome day!
welcome to the dark side. :)
ReplyDeleteI created a Twitter account, but have only tweeted a few times. It just seems to be one more thing to follow. It all makes me tired.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard enough time keeping up with my blog... I do have an account and get tweets from the school but I have never sent one out.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to tweet. I have a tweet account, but don't know how to use it :(
ReplyDeleteNo Facebook, no Twitter - I spend waaaaaay too much time online as it is reading blogs and catching up with emails!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is tech obsessed, he works for the largest television station in Canada securing their websites. Neither of us have ever understood Twitter's benefits. He's shut down his Facebook account because of their policies of owning everyone's content without restriction. I'm following shortly this weekend. We've both been members of Google + for over a month, before it was opened to the public. There's a surprisingly large quilting community on Google+!
ReplyDeleteBecause of this, I'll be entering fewer giveaways since I won't have a FB account anymore but at least I'll have control of my future content!
I've had a twitter account for a while but I hardly ever go there. So it always cracks me up when I get an email saying "so and so is following you on twitter." I'm thinking to myself, "Really? WHY??" But I might change my mind. FB isn't make me very happy right now either...
