It's Giveaway Day!

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!

Welcome to my little corner of Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day!

I adore Sew, Mama, Sew, it's a great website for inspiration and tutorials.  They've featured so many different quilty heroes of mine and it's just a treasure trove of information over there.  I was really excited to hear about Giveaway Day, since I've been wanting to do a giveaway for a little while now, so here goes!

Want to make an apron?  I made one recently too, and when I decided to make an apron, I bought two patterns, so the lucky winner here is going to get the pattern I didn't use - the Heather Bailey Daily Spice Halter Apron.  It's super cute, and can be customized to three different sizes, to ensure a great fit.

I haven't done a giveaway before, so this is going to be a lot of fun.  Here's how to enter... I am a planner, and I love to think ahead.  Tell me about something you're planning on sewing or quilting in 2011.  I know I've got a pretty healthy list started already.  Want a bonus entry?  If you follow my blog, tell me so in a separate comment.  I {heart} followers!

This giveaway will be open until December 17th at midnight EST.  I will choose a winner at random from the comments made on this post and announce them on December 18th.

  1. Great Giveaway E! I actually am trying to convince the CMQG that we should have an apron challenge. So that would be happening in 2011... I would love to win that pattern! (I am secretly terrified of garment sewing.)

Hmm. I'm slowly making dutch pinwheel blocks from my tute... not sure what I'm going to do with them yet!

  5. Yay! I ducked out of the giveaway day this time around... too much stress caused by going to the post office this time of year! I'd like to make... more quilts! that's really vague, I know, but I seem to just sew whatever strikes me at the moment. I'm not much of a planner!

  6. I love the apron pattern and would really like to sew an apron one of these days. I honestly don't have many things planned. I will probably make a small quilt for my younger daughter as she is the only one without a quilt, but other than that there is nothing specific in the works.

  148. I just started sewing this year and I look forward to making more handmade gifts in 2011. I'd love to make aprons for the women in my life.

  149. I plan on trying to make my first quilt next year. A baby quilt for my little girl.

  150. I've got three baby blankets and treat so far that I know I need to turn out! Thanks for the chance!

  151. I would like to try my hand at myself a quilted backpack type purse this coming year.

    Happy holidays!

  154. Coincidentally, I am planning to sew up some aprons in 2011! I'm a new sewist (sewer?) and have made drawstring bags and skirts -- now I'm ready to move to aprons. I desperately need one for myself too!

  155. Great giveaway. I plan on hand making every Christmas gift next year. So I will start right away. I have never done this before and it should be a challenge considering I have six kids and 17 grandchildren.

  156. I love aprons! In fact, I need to add those to my To-Sew list, along with more clothes for my kiddos and handbags for me. mamalusco at ortelco dot net

  157. Gorgeous pattern! I plan to make myself a new purse. I've already got the pattern, but I'm still on the hunt for just the right fabric though. Thank you for the giveaway!

  158. I am planning on making my little girl bedding. A quilt and a bed skirt are what she will get for her second birthday - along with her very own big girl bed, of course. Thank you for the chance to win!

  159. I'm planning on sewing Amy Butler's Cosmo Bag for myself. I bought Style Stitches months ago and haven't made anything yet. It's quite sad.

By the way, I love your blog name! My mom is an Elizabeth who goes by Betsy and I never understood how the two names were related. She named me Michelle but always called me Shelly. I don't like having a designated nickname that's not very close to my real name and thought that she would have been more empathetic and not have done that to me. For shame.

  160. Actually, my next project after the holidays will be an apron for me. This pattern would be very helpful.

  161. Great giveaway! In 2011 I will be doing lots of sewing. I've signed up for 2 virtual quilting bees. I think you're in one of the bees with me. :) Plus, I'm going to try to join in on an Amy Butler's Style Stitches sew-along on a bloggy friend's blog. That'll give me plenty of gifts to give away next Christmas. :)

  164. I'll be working on all the quilts I started in 2010.....grin. Hope to finish at least 2.

  166. I've got twin girls and last year I made one quilt for one of them, so first on my list for 2011 is a quilt for the other one.

  167. I plan on making several new styles of bags and tutorials to go along with them!
